Hardware Selection

From slim mullion-mount units to full-featured keypad intercoms, your choice of hardware is the largest variable.

Installation & Cabling

New cabling runs (Cat6) vs. utilizing existing infrastructure impact the labor hours required for setup.

Software Licensing

Cloud management ensures your system stays secure and updated. Fees are typically per-device, per-year.

Call Routing Config

Complex routing to multiple desk stations or external call centers requires additional configuration time.

Choosing the Right Intercom

Not every entry point requires the same solution. Here is how to choose between the most common configurations.

Slim vs. Standard Units

Slim units are designed for narrow door frames (mullions) where space is limited. Standard units offer larger speakers for noisier environments and often include physical keypads for backup access codes.

Best for:

Modern offices, glass entries, and restricted interior doors.

Mobile App vs. Desk Station

Mobile-first answering is ideal for mobile teams or businesses without a dedicated receptionist. Physical desk stations provide a reliable, "always-on" point of contact for high-traffic lobbies.

Best for:

Mixed-use buildings, logistics hubs with gate entries, and corporate HQs.
