Can Indoor Air Quality Sensors Detect Vaping — and What Else Do They Monitor?

Real-time environmental monitoring to protect your people, ensure compliance, and maintain healthy indoor spaces.

Quick Answer

Commercial air quality sensors continuously measure CO2, temperature, humidity, particulate matter, and chemical vaping signatures — sending real-time alerts when thresholds are crossed. Fortified Technologies installs cloud-managed Verkada sensors throughout Alberta, integrating them directly into your existing security dashboard so environmental data sits alongside your cameras and access control.

What Does Air Quality Monitoring Cost?

Pricing for air quality monitoring is primarily driven by the number of sensors and the specific environmental factors you need to track. While every site is different, here is what typically impacts your investment:

Sensor Tier: Basic CO2/Temp sensors cost less than multi-functional units that detect PM2.5, VOCs, and Vape chemical signatures.

Site Scale: The square footage and number of enclosed rooms (like bathrooms or server rooms) determine sensor count.

Integration Requirements: Linking sensors to HVAC systems or existing video management platforms for automated response.

Cloud Licensing: Ongoing software access for real-time dashboards, historical reporting, and AI-powered alerts.
